O-Signup Registration Program
- What is it?
- An online program for handling A-Event registrations. There are three pieces to the program:
- The public registration pages. A set of six web forms used by the orienteering public to register for your event.
- The admin pages. A set of password protected pages used by the event registrar. These admin pages permit you to configure the public registration pages for your event as well as to administer the registration data.
- A page listing all the orienteers registered for your event. Once you upload start times, they are visible to everyone attending your event.
- Who can use the online orienteering program?
- The program is available for any club to use.
- Where/how do I get the software?
- The program is an online program, so there is no software to download or install.
- What features are in the program?

- The program collects contact information from each user
- Collecting snail mail addresses, phone numbers, and USOF membership data is optional
- E-Punch rentals offered (Yes/No)
- Configurable early, regular, and late entry fees
- Individual races
- No limit on the number of races
- Types of races supported
- Full set of USOF courses
- Yes/No type of races: often used for Trail-O races
- Custom: often used for recreational races or races where only a limited subset of courses are offered
- USOF discount (Yes/No)
- Assign start times(Yes/No)
- Configurable options:
- Interscholastic, Intercollegiate, and/or WRE events
- Dinners
- T-Shirts - supports multiple sizes for multiple shirts
- Preview maps
- Souvenir items

- Support for PayPal and Google Checkout (club must already have account)
- Support for multiple race discounts
- What features are NOT in the program?

- Other than very simple arrangements, the program does not handle lodging, campsites, tent sites, etc.
- The program does not handle meal plans.
- The decision to not handle these is based on the extreme variability of lodging and meal plans.
- I am not interested in customizing the program to handle lodging and/or meal plans even for a fee.
- Is there a cost for using the program?

- Starting in 2009 there is a $100.00 charge to use the system. The $100.00 fee includes tailoring the site to have a similar appearance as your club's home page or the event information page.
- IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR 2010: In the 10 years or so the program has been in operation, no two events have been alike. Too many clubs have requested customizations that have required extensive modifications to the existing code base. These customizations have required far more time that I have available and introduce significant risk of programming errors. Often clubs have created payment schedules or course requirements that were difficult or error prone to implement in code. Therefore starting in 2010 no additional customization will be available. Please review the demo program and/or contact the programmer before you decide to offer some unusual twist to your event.
- Although no customizations will be offered, any program errors (bugs) will be fixed asap.
